The Jiff Ltd provides a wheelie bin washing service for domestic properties and commercial businesses such as pubs, clubs, restaurants and schools in the Caerphilly area. We also franchise the wheelie bin washing service in Cardiff, Cwmbran, Bristol, Dorset, High Wycombe, Salford, North West Manchester, and Scotland. We have three wheelie bin washing vehicles (two for use and one for showing purposes). We have been operating the washing service for 14 years and the franchise for5 years.

The Jiff Ltd understands that it has an impact on the environment mainly through its use of water and vehicles, and is therefore committed to:

• Preventing pollution by not allowing any wastewater from the wheelie bins or our washing system to flow into any sewers. We make sure that all staff are trained and are aware of this.
  
• Continual environmental improvement through following and updating an Improvement Plan.
  
• Reduce the amount of tap water used in our washing process by collecting rainwater from the roof, and using that to fill the machine instead of tap water. We will also recycle as much of our waste as possible.
  
• Comply with all relevant environmental legislation that applies to our business, the main regulations are the Water Resources Act 1991.

The policy will be communicated to all staff and will be made available to any interested parties through our website http://www.thejiff.co.uk/, and will be reviewed on an annual basis.
